Year 4SH from Cannon Burrows C of E Primary School in Ashton-Under-Lyne wonderful version of Esio Trot

Year 4 chose Esio Trot because they love Roald Dahl but also because they’re lucky enough to have their very own pet tortoise in school called Pebbles. We think Pebbles did very well acting as a model – but apparently it was very hard to get her to stay still for the shot!

We particularly liked Year 4’s Cover Version because it is a great creative effort and also, importantly, it was obvious that all members of the class got involved in the shoot. Their teacher, Miss Howard explains:

“Each child in the class (33 children in total, age 8 and 9 years old) was involved in the production of the photograph, from designing Pebbles’ house, to creating the ‘illustrated by’ sign and using a computer programme to edit our photo. We all had so much fun making our front cover and it was a super learning journey for us all!”

Thank you and well done Year 4 (and Pebbles)!
