Competition – Meet 2017 Summer Reading Challenge Illustrator Tony Ross

Edinburgh International Book Festival are giving teachers of P1-3 classes the chance to win a fantastic prize.

This year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme is Animal Agents, illustrated by the UK’s bestselling children’s illustrator Tony Ross. Tony will be appearing at the Edinburgh International Book Festival in an exciting schools event for P1-P3 pupils on Monday 21 August, and before his event there will be a special prizegiving, where Tony will hand out certificates to invited school children who have completed the Summer Reading Challenge.*

Enter our competition to win tickets for your whole class for Tony’s event at the Book Festival and the prizegiving event beforehand. All you need to do is answer the following question:

What is the name of Tony’s much-loved series of books, which include I Want My Potty and I Want My Dummy?

Email your answer, together with your name, school name, year group and school address to by Friday 16 June. Winners will be contacted by email before the end of June.

For more details on Tony Ross’ event, see p. 7 of the Book Festival Schools brochure.

Schools are also able to apply to our Baillie Gifford Transport Fund for assistance with travel costs.

*Please note that to attend the prizegiving event some (but not all) of your pupils must complete the Summer Reading Challenge – so please encourage your pupils to take part!
