On 3 March, we celebrated World Book Day 2016 with 2000 school pupils from across Scotland at The Biggest Book Show On Earth!

In partnership with World Book Day and the Usher Hall, we worked with schools across the country to bring children face to face with some of the most celebrated authors and illustrators in children’s fiction, with all tickets entirely free as part of the Book Festival’s Booked! programme.

We took the opportunity to speak with some of the authors and
illustrators taking part, asking them about their work and their
inspirations, the books they loved as children, and their advice for young readers and writers. See what they said in the video below.
