2017 Schools Programme Now Available

What’s the Big Idea?
21-29 August 2017

This year’s Book Festival Baillie Gifford Schools Programme challenges young minds to question, imagine and wonder. The programme brings together well-established writers, illustrators and performers from every corner of the globe, along with some shining new talent.

There are more than 60 events in the Schools Programme including Little Princess creator Tony Ross, Olympic gold-medal winning cyclist Chris Hoy, CILIP Carnegie Medal-winner David Almond, Scottish favourite Jenny Colgan and many, many more. There’s something for every pupil from P1 to S6 as well as a series of CPL events for teachers and education professionals. For the first time, the programme also features a Relaxed Event for pupils with Additional Support Needs.

Booking opens on Thursday 27 April so download the brochure now to discover all the great events on offer.

You can find out more about How to Book on this site, or on p.43 of the brochure.

Printed brochures were posted out on Tuesday 18 April. If you haven’t received a copy and would like one, please send your name and postal address to mailinglist@edbookfest.co.uk
